absolutely colhaye. we all must get our facts straight. we may not have it all together and the reason maybe that there are agents who report propaganda and eventually it leaks into the main stream, making repeated lies into news. For now that's all we can depend on, but we must use logic and this article to me is very logical in the sense of its promotion of peace and dialogue.

In a continent over run by corrupt politicians and regimes, we as a African people must stand against injustice in all levels. The Onlf's fight is for a just cause just like the Palestinians struggle against zionist Israel, and just like Tibet against communist China.

The issues we face as a larger Somali community is our lack of unity on all issues. We may agree on certain issues, but if we do not agree on all issues and come to a concensus - we will not achieve anything substantial or worthwhile.

SaveOgaden.org if anything it is pro-somaalinimo, and most of all walaaltinimo. How can we as a community of millions allow ourselves to be subjugated under a harsh regime and terms. How can we also continue to be bystanders while innocents are being killed in the crossfire and humanatarian aid is being denied, forcing communities living in the ogaden to get on its knees and side with the ethiopian regime dividing and conquering us.?

This is a task that gets bigger and bigger everyday, and the longer we wait, the harder it will be to attain the peace and justice we are all longing for. The least you can do is sit down and think about the situation, research it and open dialogue between each other. And that is what SaveOgaden.org along with other partners wants to create and do.

Thanks all and stay tuned for more writing, articles, editorials, opinions and news from this catastrophe. The biggest injustice in this cause is for the people to be silent!

This is a good article and I thank Karamada group as-well as saveogaden.org for forwarding this article.Above all this an opinion piece, the article represents the views of the Karamarda group and this should not be taken as a comprehensive study of the Ogaden situation nor the ONLF freedom fighters.The fundamental importance that should be attributed to this article is they recognize the oppression in the Ogaden, they also recognize the ONLF as the single force that can bring about a solution in the Ogaden.They must be applauded for recognizing these fundamental facts.As contended this was not intended to shower ONLF with praise and focus on the great achievements of the ONLF but rather to put a microscope on the areas the Karamarda group feel the ONLF need to improve in order to succeed.The ONLF is an organisation run by humans, mistakes will occur and criticism must be leveled so there can be progress.Despite certain remarks and the statements in this paper that I do not agree with, I think the concerns they have raised are legitimate.Going beyond this article, the Karamarda group claims the ONLF is pushing away the regional intellectual elite but what are they doing to help there folks.I guess you cant criticize forever if your not willing to get your hands dirty and begin to reason with the ONLF to create a better struggle.I have heard and seen the ONLF ask the populace for there opinions and there concerns, I believe the ONLF are very engaging and they are open to all suggestions.There is a proportion of the population who would rather live off there preconceived opinions and feed of the fear and the grapevine created by the Ethiopian regime and its agents.A good first step by the Karamarda group and the Ogaden-Somali population should continue this duologue.

Hardigeed, the only way for the Ogadeni community to have the world community back it up is to have unity and solidarity .. and that starts with facing the facts and having strong discussion and solution finding from all. Mothers, sons, daughters, fathers, elders are killed, raped, tortured everyday ... when will it stop?

This article is secondary source and above all an opinion. It is not a research paper filled with facts. For now all we have is opinions because we are not living in the Ogaden region and we are not living the harsh live the Ogadeni citizens are being subjugated to. We don't know first hand what is going on in the Ogaden because press and media is closed off by the Ethiopian military regime.

SaveOgaden.Org will forever stand as a voice of reason, un-bias and always looking for justice and freedom for the Ogadeni citizens and region. Thanks for your input as always brother. I have much more to say on this, and I will create a discussion forum for the website soon for that reason.
